About the Lifetime Literacy Foundation
Our History
Lifetime Literacy Foundation (LLF) was founded in August of 2006 in Manhattan Beach, CA to promote literacy by disseminating reading material and operating special projects to help underserved populations. Lifetime Literacy Foundation was founded as a special project of Jan Nathan, former Executive Director of PMA, The Independent Book Publishers Association.
Our Mission
Our founding mission is to help eradicate and prevent illiteracy in adults and children in the United States. With this in mind, we have developed programs that create awareness about the effects of illiteracy and provide opportunities for adults and children to develop literacy skills.
